How to use conductive aluminum paste?

Conductive aluminum paste is composed of conductive fillers, binders, solvents and additives, and is printed on a conductive substrate to have a conductive current and the ability to eliminate static charges that are usually printed.

1. In order to achieve satisfactory special effects, the conductive aluminum paste must be completely dispersed in the coating system, and the coating should be in a uniform state without fine particles. The aluminum flakes are easily bent and broken. For other continuous and severe processing, its geometric structure is easily damaged, resulting in coarse particles, dark color, reduced coverage, and metal migration. Therefore, high shear force dispersion methods should not be used. Suggestion: use pre-dispersion methods : First select an appropriate solvent or a mixture of several solvents, add the solvent to the conductive aluminum paste in a ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 to the conductive aluminum paste and the solvent, and stir slowly until uniform (about 10-20 minutes) .Add the base material into the system. In general production, the conductive aluminum paste is soaked in solvent for 30 minutes before slow stirring.

2. The dilution selection of conductive aluminum paste is mainly determined by the paint determined by the formula. Non-floating conductive aluminum paste can use polar and non-polar solvents, such as aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons, and lipids (such as butyl acetate) , ketones (such as methyl ethyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone), alcohols (such as ethanol).

3. Chlorinated solvents (halogenated...) are not suitable for any conductive aluminum paste pigments. Chlorinated solvents will release HCL and chemically react with fine aluminum pigments.

4. Many commonly used coating bases such as oil-based varnish bases, acrylics, alkyds, cyclic esters and water-based bases can be used in non-floating conductive aluminum paste pigments. In general, any coating base Or the solvent is suitable as long as it is compatible with the solvent carrier of the conductive aluminum paste and does not cause chemical damage to the conductive aluminum paste.

A special point of attention: aluminum is a lively metal, and the acid value of the paint should be controlled below 7.

5. When a coating system containing conductive aluminum paste needs to add a metal drier, for non-floating conductive aluminum paste, only the drier that will not react with the fatty acid on the surface of the aluminum flakes can be used. It is recommended that Use diamond, zirconium and manganese driers.
